Sarasota, FL BIPT, Inc. (BIPT), the innovative leader in web-based insurance processing solutions, today announced the March 31, 2008 general availability of Personal Inland Marine (PIM) support in TiVA, their web-based policy administration system.
This functionality will support stand-alone Personal Inland Marine policies designed to provide broadened coverage and loss settlement provisions for classes of property often excluded or limited by other policies, such as the Homeowner Policy. These include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Jewelry
- Fine Arts
- Furs
- Camera Equipment
- Golfer's Equipment
- Musical Instruments
- Silverware
- Stamp or Coin Collections
- Guns or Firearms
"Personal Inland Marine support is the first step in a multi-year effort to broaden the lines of business supported by TiVA" said John Kummer, President of BIPT, Inc. "This will be followed very rapidly with the introduction of Commercial Property and General Liability support in early summer and Private Passenger Auto support in early 2009."
Support for the PIM line heralds the new TiVA user interface which has been designed to enhance ease-of-use for producers and will support a greater degree of carrier customization. Utilizing the Spring Framework, BIPT is rolling out the new TiVA user interface in its PIM and Commercial products. It expects to have its existing Homeowners/Dwelling Fire product retrofitted with the new user interface by the end of this year.
