BIPT's Web-Based System

BIPT (Better Insurance Processing Technology; Sarasota, Fla.) developed TiVA, a Web-based policy and claims administration system. TiVA is a hosted solution that integrates application and rating, underwriting, claims and accounting management functions.

TiVA's Web-based hosted agent's desktop enables agents to store policy and customer information and directly transact policy applications, endorsements, cancellations and first reports of loss. The system offers access to current policy information, reducing inquiries to an insurer's customer service representatives and providing underwriters with instant access to data to support analytical decision making, according to the vendor.

"The TiVA system allows us to service our customers from any place at any time, and agents can respond immediately to customer questions," states Michael Cratem, VP underwriting, Sunshine State Insurance Co. (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.; $30 million in written premium for 2004).
